Deck the Halls With Crazy People! Fa la la la la la la la la la!
11:39 p.m.-December 04, 2003

I didn't sleep till 2 today! Weeeee! I actually got up about noon, but hey, progress! And especially progress since I was up till 6:30 a.m.

Yeah, I have problems, but that's probably not anything new to anyone here.

I schlepped around and finally folded the laundry I did last night, managed to cram in my secret show while the fam was out working on their little project, and took at least a little initiative and made the tea for supper. Mom wanted me to cook too, but I didn't feel like it. I have to be in the mood to cook, and that happens about once every six months.

After supper, Mom dragged our artificial (but quite real looking and lovely) tree out, and we started putting that together. Dad was on the phone with Matt at the time, and I guess Matt asked what we were doing, so of course Dad told him we were putting up the tree.

"Without me?" he replied.

Hi, Matt, you no longer live here, therefore we reserve the right to put up OUR Christmas tree whenever we feel like it.

*rolls eyes*

So he asked if he could come over, and all action ceased. *sigh* We finished putting it together and put up the lights, but that was it. It was ready for ornaments.

This ranks right up there with my sister, Samantha, who is eighteen years old, but still calls my mother every single day asking her to do something. And here I thought adults didn't have their mommies do everything for them. Good God.

So I went to take a shower, 'cause I'd planned to anyway, and I got out at 7:10 and realized I was missing Tru. Because the two weeks off messed with my head, and I honestly didn't remember till right then. So I got dressed quickly and barreled to the other end of the house to my TV in Mom's room. I think I got the gist. Anyway, Matt and Becca got here a little after 7:30, so I still haven't finished it. I taped the Primetime Live thing on RotK too and have yet to watch that.

Becca's so cute. She wandered all around the house, marveling at all our Christmas decorations. I think that's why we get along so well, we're both four years old. lol

It took us roughly an hour to decorate the thing, and just as I'd suspected, we women did all the work. Dad put on one, and Matt and Ethan put on a couple, and then they all sat down and watched some motorcycle show on the History Channel and yakked about that while Becca, Mom, and I did the tree.

Men are so weird.

And not at all helpful.

But we enjoyed doing that together, so whatever.

They left about an hour ago, and now I'm sitting here freezing my butt off. It's cold in here. Earlier I put on this peasant top because I was melting, and now I gotta go put my sweats on again. Argh. Partly house temperature, mostly hormones.

That will be all.

..past + future..
