Eat cake and be merry, Cosmic Twin! Love ya!
I had a wonderful 4th. We cooked brats on the grill, and ate them in buns, and had coleslaw, corn on the cob, and baked beans, with pound cake with fresh strawberries and blueberries and whipped cream for dessert. And of course, cheesecake later. ;)
The family came over, and it was all good. Aunt Joyce only cried once, poor thing. Kay abused the hell out of me and was crazy as usual. After hours of that, I finally had to have her called off so I could catch my breath. LOL They say she's only still outgoing and nutty like that around me. I don't know if that's because she's growing up, or she doesn't have Jessie to play with anymore. Maybe a combo of both. I don't mind being silly with her, but I'm too old and decrepit to tussle that much. LOL
Becca finally made it over 'round 9, and everyone sang Happy Birthday to me, and I blew out my candles. Four, to be exact. Two and two for 22. LOL Anything else would've melted the cheesecake. ;) I made my wish, but that's no one's business if I want it to come true. hehe
Then we had cheesecake, and went out on the porch to watch the fireworks. We could see the ones from the park in the distance, and someone else was having their own show over the hill that was pretty good. They were going off in a couple of other places too, so they were all around. We had our own, too, that weren't bad at all, so it was fun, and Matt and Ethan still have both hands. LOL
The fam left not too long after that, and we all got ready to crash and watch a movie in Matt and Ethan's room. They rented Something's Gotta Give last night. It was funny, I enjoyed it.
Becca crashed and burned about an hour ago, she wasn't feeling well. Poor thing, I wish her doctor would give her something to make her feel good again. Anyway, obviously, she's spending the night here on the couch behind me, and we're not going to worry about getting up too early in the morning. We can see the 4:30 showing of The Notebook if we don't feel like making the 1:45. I just hope it's not a massive disappointment after I've waited this long to see it.
The only other thing I know for sure we're doing tomorrow is hitting Starbucks and shopping. For what I do not know, but clothes sound nice, depending on how much money my parents give me. I haven't had new clothes in what feels like forever. It's gonna be so nice to just freewheel around College Station, and have some girl time and some fun. I can't wait.
Which means I'd better get rid of this slight stomachache and get to sleep. It's only 2, but at least 8 hours would be good.
I'll officially be 22 at 8:53 p.m. tonight. LOL
I'm probably spending the night at Becca's tomorrow night, so if I don't see you before then, enjoy your extra weekend day!
